Reading, Writing, Publishing ~ Poll Results

I started a poll back in April—a short but definitive poll—to find out what my visitors wanted to see on this blog.

The results have been fairly steady as far as percentages go; and, even though the total number of respondents is still relatively low, some trends are clear:

Art of Writing  26.2%
Writing Craft  14.3%
Writing Tips  11.9%
Publishing News  9.5%
Reading Lists  9.5%
Publishing Information  7.1%
Reading Tips  4.8%
Publishing Comparisons  4.8%
Reading Aids  2.2%

Two caveats:

~ 9.5% did respond with “Other”, which gives me information but isn’t something I can do much about—the options that are spelled out are what I’m qualified to blog about—still, knowing that some folks want something else is instructive…

~ The top choice at 26.2% represents 11 votes; but, one of the bits of received wisdom about blogs that I can agree with is that each response, in the Comments or in polls, represents more individuals than indicated—each comment or vote representing more than an individual opinion…

While the current numbers do help me when I sit down to write a post, I could certainly benefit from a larger sample of people.

I suspect that the current order of topics won’t change drastically with more votes but…

Reading, Writing, Publishing ~ Which Do You Want Most?

Wanting something “Most” usually means there’s something “Next Most”, etc.…

Sometimes, it’s impossible to break a tie for Most Wanted…
